Meet Dr. Joel Levin

Dr. Joel Levin was born and raised in Buffalo. He is a board-certified pediatric dentist who received his undergraduate degree in science from University of Buffalo and his doctorate in dental surgery from SUNY at Buffalo in 1962. Dr. Levin did his post doctoral training at Tufts University in Boston, Massachusetts and his residency in Buffalo at The Children's Hospital. He founded our practice with Dr. John Houghtaling in 1981.

Dr. Levin is a diplomat of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and belongs to a number of organizations:

• American Dental Association
• American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry
• Gnathos Orthodontics

Dr. Levin has devoted his professional career to all aspects of pediatric dentistry practice with special interests in restorative dentistry, caries prevention, and growth and development problems of young children and adolescents. To keep abreast of the latest developments in Pediatric Dentistry, he has always exceeded the continuing education requirements of New York State.

Dr. Levin's hobbies include jazz music, Italian food and wine, running, cross country skiing, and the study of mysticism and spirituality. He has been married for 50 years to his wife, Fern, and has two children, residing in Boulder, Colorado and San Francisco, California, and two grandchildren
